Redmond Development Group is a Reno, NV-based construction consulting firm founded by Jake Springfield, a seasoned industry professional with a strong foundation in engineering and project management. Jake holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Management from Purdue University and brings over a decade of hands-on experience in large-scale construction and capital projects.
Jake began his career as an owner’s representative mechanical engineer at BP’s Cherry Point Refinery, where he was part of a multi-disciplinary design team collaborating directly with construction contractors. He later supported ExxonMobil’s Billings, Montana refinery as a field engineer during a major Turnaround, managing materials and logistics for a team of nearly 20 personnel.
He continued developing his expertise with a general contractor in South Carolina, helping expand their Capital Projects division. In this role, Jake gained in-depth knowledge of project planning methodologies, including Work Breakdown Structures and Advanced Work Packaging Systems. He specialized in integrating Primavera P6 schedules with project controls and material tracking systems to deliver detailed project forecasting and performance metrics. He also prepared pre-construction schedules and documentation for RFPs and RFQs.
In 2021, Jake took on a pivotal scheduling role with a leading general contractor on two semiconductor manufacturing plant projects valued at $30 billion over four years. He led cross-functional site teams and trade partners in developing and managing critical path method (CPM) schedules, proactively identifying and resolving scheduling risks. Jake regularly presented project updates and mitigation strategies to executive leadership and clients, while also mentoring and training a new generation of construction schedulers.
